This is pretty cool. Stumbled across a blog called View-Master World that’s exactly what it sounds like – a collection of still images from View-Master packets. You know, these things:
Can’t you just hear the ka-chunk it makes when you advance the image? Anyway, one of the packages featured on the blog was called World’s Fairs of Yesteryear.
An amazing cover, and the images within are pretty great, too. Hit the link and check them out. Here’s my favorite, from the 1939 New York Fair:
Almost makes me want to dig out my old View-Master…or pick one up on eBay…and then pick up a bunch of vintage View-Master packs on eBay….you know what? Never mind.
