Here’s some great color footage of the 1939 Worlds’ Fair in New York. While part of me regrets that the film is soundless, the rest of me feels like it fits the images and the history of the video really well! Would be nice to hear what Glenn Gray is playing, though, that gets all of these folks up and dancing.
As usual, the real treat is what’s happening in the background; the structures and overall vibe of the fair and the excitement of the fair-goers really comes through. When I get my Tardis, I’ll be making a stop here for a dance.
