1. The Antlers – I came back from Moogfest in Asheville, NC obsessed with these guys. I had heard a song or two before the festival, but their set really blew me away. Cannot stop listening to Hospice.
2. miniature ships at ICE – the Indie Craft Experience was this weekend in Atlanta! Becky was kind enough to give me a little space at her booth for miniature ships and a flier for arizona.
3. OSX Preview print-to-scale – this one sounds not very exciting at all, but it was a lifesaver. I’ve been printing my books in 6 x 9, but my home printer which I use to proof pages uses standard 8.5 x 11. As a result, my proofs always printed blown up a bit and it was hard to get a good idea of how the pages actually looked. Becky pointed out that OSX’s preview automatically upscales your documents to fill the page – once I reduced their scale back to 100%, they printed great! Who knew!
4. playground crochet. from playscapes, an amazing amazing blog.
5. I’ve secured an ISBN for arizona. Hoping to have a proof by Thanksgiving! It is currently in “spread out on the floor and make final decisions” status.
